Das Arbeiten mit ökologischen als auch recyclefähigen Baustoffen war bei diesem Bauvorhaben ebenso fundamental wie ein energetisch optimiertes Be- und Entlüftungssystem. Diese wurde in Form eines Erdwärmetauschers und eines dezentralen Lüftungssystems speziell für das Gebäude entwickelt. Die Frischluft wird in Luftkanälen durch das Erdreich geführt, im Sommer vorgekühlt und im Winter leicht erwärmt. Durch diese natürliche Klimatisierung wird rund zwei Drittel weniger Energie verbraucht als durch eine übliche Klimaanlage.

 

Two things were equally fundamental in this project: to work with buliding material that is ecological and can be recycled and to develop an energetically optimized ventilation system. These requirements were met by using a device to exchange the warmth of the soil and by developing a decentralized ventilation system especially for the building.Through air channels, the fresh air leads through the soil where it is precooled in summer and slightly preheated in winter. This natural airconditioning requires approximately two thirds less energy than a normal airconditioner.
