Der Wolkenkratzer am Platz der Republik in Frankfurt reflektiert die strukturelle Gleichförmigkeit seiner näheren Umgebung: eine Wand als Schnittstelle und Metapher einer städtebaulich-ökonomisch, auf Kapazitätsauslastung ausgerichteten Ausnutzung des Bankenviertels gegenüber einer städtebaulich idealisierten Differenzierung des historischen Westends.

 

The skyscraper on Republic square in Frankfurt/Main reflects the structural uniformity of its nearer surroundings: as a wall it forms a metaphor for and an edge between the use of the bank quarter which is purely economic in regards to city-planning and is  aimed at a full utilization of all capacities and the Westend with its idealized differentiation concerning city planning.
